Many of you have inquired about ideas and resources related to providing educational opportunities to students who are currently not in school due to Covid-19. I know some of you such as WMC and in Memphis and several of our public stations have already launched your own initiatives to address this concern.
Please see the attached information from the Tennessee School Board Association regarding tndigital, an education outreach initiative which helps supply teachers, students, parents, and administrators with easy access to their learning materials, which includes everything from lesson plans to worksheets, and from educational videos to assessments.
The TSBA would appreciate helping get the word out to Tennessee communities about this important resource. Please share with your news and public service departments as you deem appropriate.
What is TN Digital?
TN Digital (tndigital.org) is an online depository of all the State of Tennessee’s open access learning materials. We are working with publishers to supply teachers, students, parents, and administrators with easy access to their learning materials, which includes everything from lesson plans to worksheets, and from educational videos to assessments.
TN Digital is owned and operated by Tennessee Book Company in partnership with TSBA (Tennessee School Boards Association).
Who has access to TN Digital resources?
Everyone! Just go to www.tndigital.org and search for lessons, publishers, videos. You have access to all our available learning materials.
How are resources being added to TN Digital?
We are working directly with publishers to get all available online content onto the site.
What about printed district packets?
Any school districts that want Tennessee Book Company to host their district print packets online can email Todd Svec at email@example.com. We will make their purchased publisher content available on tndigital.org for easy search by parents and students in one to two days.
